Battlefront 3

Star Wars Battlefront 3. A video game that has arrived, disappeared and maybe has arrived again. There has been many frustrating times as I have waited for this certain game.The Star Wars Battlefront games has been one of my favorites if not favorite series of games.

I have been looking forward to this game ever since 2008 when it was first rumored to be coming out in 2009. The game franchise has a large fan base (obviously) and there was a lot of hype over it. A course it never arrived and it was technically never shown to anyone or the fans that were so patiently waiting. Many people have seen the video that revealed the video game that was never released though, which can be found at youtube today.

This video showed some cool add ons to the previous installment Battlefront 2, which gave me hope that there could be even more new specs to a game that is being made 3 years after it was first created. Hopefully some of those good ideas will be used in the newly made one. But anyways, yes I have been looking forward to this game ever since but only to be dissapointed over the last few years, but finally there has been some hope. Lucas Arts finally looks as if they are taking a step toward having the game developed.

Lucas Arts recently has gained access to the Unreal Engine 2, which is a next generation gaming engine. Spark Unlimited seems to be the correct developer for Lucas Arts. This is because Spark Unlimited is now creating a project that is unannouncedbut as they describe it, its a"high profile game" that is a sequel to other existing games, for a "highly critical audience" Spark Unlimited is also using the Unreal Engine for this game's future development. If my suspicions are correct though, this is a game that is in its very beginning stages.

Spark Unlimited is only just beginning to put a team together to start their "unannounced project" They are hiring now to still fill in open positions, and as long as these positions stay empty, Star Wars Battlefront 3 awaits its arrival.

A (great) game in its beginning stages now would not come out for over a year or later, which seems to be how long we will end up waiting at the very least for battlefront. Spark Unlimited has not had a project since their unsuccessful game, "Fall of Liberty" which came out in early 2008. All we can do is wait as we have for quite a long time.
